What is Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Coaching?

Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Coaching is a supportive journey we take together. Whether you’ve experienced emotional hurt, psychological distress, or physical trauma, this process can help you understand your reactions and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Our goal is to empower you on your path to healing and resilience, so you can build a life that feels strong and hopeful.

What is the difference between Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Coaching and therapy?

If you are suffering from the impact of interpersonal aggression from an antagonistic intimate partner, family member, or peer, Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Coaching can be a powerful tool for healing and moving forward.

Unlike therapy, which focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Coaching offers a supportive space to focus on your strengths. Here, we’ll work together to build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and help you create a life you enjoy even after facing challenges.

Think of it as a partnership. Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Coaching can complement any therapy you might be receiving by providing ongoing encouragement and practical tools you can use every day to manage the effects of past experiences. You’ll have a safe space to explore your feelings and discover new ways to thrive.

Who is responsible for decisions in the coaching process?

You are the driver of your own recovery journey. As your recovery coach, I’m here to offer guidance and support to help you reach the goals you set for yourself.

Are results guaranteed?

While Narcissistic Abuse Rehab aims to provide effective guidance and support, we do not guarantee specific outcomes or results from coaching sessions.

Does Narcissistic Abuse Rehab provide specialized services?

Everyone’s recovery journey is unique. If, along the way, we discover you’d benefit from additional support beyond Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Coaching, we are here to help with resources or a personalized proposal tailored to your specific needs.

Does Narcissistic Abuse Rehab have a cancellation policy?

Life happens, and sometimes things come up unexpectedly. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, we completely understand. Just let us know at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to help other clients who might be waiting for an appointment.

To ensure fairness and keep our services accessible, missed coaching sessions with less than 24 hours’ notice will not be refunded.

May I record my coaching sessions?

Creating a safe space for open communication is key to your progress. To ensure complete confidentiality and trust in our coaching relationship, recording sessions is not permitted without your coach’s knowledge and written consent.

May I circulate the learning materials I receive?

These learning materials are your personal toolkit for healing. They’re designed to support your specific journey and keep our coaching relationship confidential. To ensure everyone feels safe and respected, we kindly ask that you don’t share these materials with others without checking in with your coach first. We’re always happy to discuss any questions you might have!

How do you handle sensitive information?

We are committed to protecting your personal information. All information sharing during coaching sessions is strictly confidential. Your coach will not disclose any personal or private information to third parties without your explicit written consent. If you have any questions, please contact us.

What is duty of care?

Your safety and well-being is essential to the process. That’s why your coach takes their duty of care very seriously. In coaching terms, this means creating a safe and supportive space where you feel comfortable exploring your thoughts and feelings. We’ll always keep things confidential, respect your boundaries, and offer guidance that aligns with ethical standards and what’s best for you on your journey. The purpose of Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Coaching is to empower you and see you thrive!

Does my coach have duty of care for me during and after coaching sessions?

Your coach here to support you every step of the way and takes their duty of care seriously, which means creating a safe space for you to explore your goals, challenges, and emotions openly and without judgment. Our focus is on your well-being and growth within the coaching sessions.

It’s important to know that coaching isn’t therapy or medical advice. While we can’t manage crises or provide diagnoses, ethical coaches often stay committed to your well-being even after sessions end. This might involve connecting you with helpful resources or offering continued support as we discuss throughout our coaching journey.

Open communication is key! Talking with your coach about expectations and boundaries will ensure you understand their role in supporting you beyond the formal coaching sessions. This way, you can feel empowered and confident throughout your recovery journey.

What should I do if I am experiencing a mental health crisis?

Sometimes things can feel overwhelming, and that’s okay. A mental health crisis is a period of intense distress that makes it hard to cope with daily life or can even pose a safety risk. This might involve severe anxiety, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, or other concerning symptoms.

If you’re feeling like you want to hurt yourself or are experiencing a crisis, please know help is available right now. Coaching isn’t equipped to handle these situations, but there are resources to support you. We’ve included crisis hotlines and websites in your onboarding materials and on our website. Don’t hesitate to reach out to a trusted loved one, call a crisis hotline, or visit your nearest emergency room – you deserve to feel safe.

Once you’re feeling more stable, we’re here for you. Coaching can work beautifully alongside therapy to help you reach your goals and flourish in a safe, supportive environment. We’ll focus on your growth and empowerment, working together to create a life you love.
