Kim Porter: Children Break Silence On Book and Alleged Femicide

True Crime By Sep 28, 2024

Kim Porter‘s four children have broken their silence to disavow the recently released book claiming to be their mother’s secret autobiography. Quincy Brown, Christian Combs, and twin daughters D’Lila and Jessie shared a joint statement asserting that their mother did not write the book Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice from the Other Side... published on September 6, 2024.

An Instagram post purportedly written by Porter’s children and shared across their respective profiles, addressed the scandal that has engulfed their late mother’s on-again-off-again with their father Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. The statement emphasized that the most damaging rumor was the claim that she had written a book and entrusted it to a friend with instructions to publish it posthumously. According to Porter’s children this is patently false:

“We have seen so many hurtful and false rumors circulating about our parents. Kim Porter and Sean Combs’ relationship. As well as about our mom’s tragic passing. That we feel the need to speak out.

“Claims that our mom wrote a book are simply untrue. She did not. And anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves. Additionally please understand that any so-called “friend” speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend. Not do they have her best interests at heart.

“Our lives were shattered when we lost our mother. She was our world. And nothing has been the same since she passed. While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon. The cause of her death has long been established. There was no foul play. Grief is a lifelong process. And we ask that everyone respect our request for peace as we continue to cope with her loss every day.

“We are deeply saddened that the world has made a spectacle of what has been the most tragic event of our lives. Our mother should be remembered for the beautiful, strong, kind, and loving woman she was. Her memory should not be tainted with horrific conspiracy theories.

“We ask that everyone please respect our mother, Kim Porter, and hold her legacy in high regard so that she may rest in peace. It’s what she deserves.”

The statement smacks of a carefully managed public relations strategy. Combs is a master manipulator who is known to post sweet photos of his children to divert from his manifold misdeeds.

A series of manipulative fluff pieces about the children’s unwavering support of their father regularly appear in publications like PEOPLE Magazine. This narrative is meant to tug at the public’s heartstrings and frame the children as victims of the legal system holding their father to account. The puff pieces and joint statement share the same polished, precise, and defensive language. It’s likely Combs’ public relationship team are working hard to control the narrative.

Kim Porter’s Children Dismiss Rumors of Foul Play

The statement comes on the heels of Quincy’s natural father, Al B. Sure! calling for an investigation into the publication of the book and assessing his belief that Kim Porter was murdered. Quincy and his siblings are pushing back at Sure!’s claims and asserting that they accept the findings of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office that their mother died of lobar pneumonia.

Interestingly, the siblings’ carefully crafted statement does not reference the allegations of extreme abuse and sex trafficking against Combs. Lawsuits filed by Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, Joi Dickerson-NealLiza Gardner, and Lil Rod, among others, contributed to a federal investigation into Sean “Diddy” Combs that ultimately led to his indictment on September 16, 2023.

In tandem with rejecting the veracity of the book, the statement also dismisses rumors that Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly murdered Kim Porter as “conspiracy theories”. While insisting that there was no foul play, at no time do Porter’s children defend Comb’s character.

On the heels of the publication of the sibling’s statement, Al B. Sure! liked a post that described his son Quincy as a ‘Stockholm victim.’

Furthermore, Sure! received support from Combs’ former bodyguard, Gene Deal, who cautiously expressed his belief that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs had allegedly killed Kim Porter in an act of femicide.
