ACEs is an acronym for Adverse Childhood Experiences. ACEs are emotionally trying or traumatic experiences that take place between the ages of 0-17 years.

ACEs include experiencing or witnessing violence, abuse, or neglect in the home or the community at large. They may also include mental health challenges in the family or the incarceration of a family member.
