Ethan Chapin, a triplet, was born in Mount Vernon, Washington, on October 28, 2002. His parents Jim and Stacy (née Wells) raised him and his siblings, Maizie and Hunter, in Olympia and Conway. A talented athlete, he excelled at soccer, basket ball, and cross country skiing. Ethan’s major at the University of Idaho was recreation, sport, and tourism management. He was also a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Ethan is most remembered for his kindness, humor, and joie de vivre. He was visiting his girlfriend, Xana Kernodle, at 1122 when they both became victims of a quadruple homicide on November 13, 2022. Ethan is survived by his parents, siblings, and extended family.
