On September 24, 2024, Thalia Graves filed a lawsuit accusing Mr. Sherman and Diddy of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2001 and filming the attack. Mr. Sherman vehemently denies any culpability, saying that he was not in New York at the time of the alleged assault and dismissive Ms. Graves’ as a “money grab”.
Ms. Graves’ allegations were supported by another former bodyguard of Mr. Combs, Gene Deal. In an appearance on “The Art of Dialogue,” Deal confirmed that Graves had reached out to him and stated that he believes her case has merit. He noted that many people in Harlem were aware of the alleged recording of the assault, lending further credibility to her claims.
