Xana Kernodle was born on July 5, 2002, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was known as a positive and outgoing person. She grew up in Post Falls and was a gifted gymnast. She attended Post Falls Middle and High School, where she played volleyball, track, and soccer before graduating in 2020. Xana later pursued a marketing degree at the University of Idaho, where she was an active member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She also has a part-time job at Mad Greek Restaurant in Moscow, Idaho. Xana, tragically passed away at the young age of 20 when she and her boyfriend Ethan Chapin became victims of a quadruple homicide on November 13, 2022. She is survived by her father, Jeff Kernodle; mother, Cara Northington; sister, Jazzmin; brother, Elija; and her dog, Shoeshine.
